Product Recap #1
It's been a busy few weeks at Gizmo. We've been steadily shipping improvements to the product, from new features to optimizations and bug fixes to total re-designs.
Let's take a look at some of the highlights.
Gizmo 1.0
Gizmo 1.0 marked the beginning of a new era for Gizmo. We launched with a focus on speed and while we got the product out there and in the hands of customers in record time, we knew there would come a time re-visit the design and user experience.
Re-designing the app
It was time for a breath of fresh air. We took the time to re-design the app from the ground up, with a focus on simplicity and accessibility:

The new design is full of improvements. Whether it's a subtle change like the animations throughout, or a major change like the new sidebar, the new design is a massive step forward.
Desktop App
Gizmo remains fully functional via the web, but we've also released a native desktop version for Windows, Mac, and Linux. The desktop app comes with a few key advantages:
- Notifications: You are now notified of new messages, calls and more directly from your desktop. Just like receiving an email from Outlook.
- Performance: The desktop app allows for a more performant experience, especially with the phone system being able to run in the background.
- Windows: The desktop app is able to create a new window for incoming calls, messaging and the dialer. A big win for multi-tasking.
Workflows Engine

While not necessarily a new feature, the new Workflows Engine in Gizmo 1.0 is a massive improvement. Besides a cleaner-UI that allows you to build complex workflows in seconds, we added extra capabilities:
- If / else: You can now branch your workflows based on conditions, as pictured above.
- Variables: You can now use @ tags to add dynamic data to your workflows, without having to write code or curly braces.
BDR Transfers
Gizmo now fully supports BDR transfers. This means you can have agents dialing out to borrowers, and if they get in touch, they can be seamlessly transferred to a licensed agent with one click.
A common use case is when you are training loan officers who are not yet licensed. This is a great way to get them some phone experience and provide extra leadflow to your licensed agents.
Live call monitoring

Managers can now monitor and impact live call activity in real-time. With options for:
- Listen: Listen in on any call with one click.
- Chat: Instantly pull up a Teams / Slack chat.
- Coach: Live coach a caller without the borrower hearing you.
- Join: Join the call as a participant.
Gizmo's Call Monitoring Dashboard is one of the most feature-rich on the market today.
Wrapping up
As you can see, we've been busy. We've got plenty more exciting releases planned before the end of the year and especially heading into 2025. Get in touch with us if you'd like to learn more.
