Switch / Migration guide

How to migrate to Gizmo

Follow this guide for a seamless transition.

Introduction

You have made the decision to use Gizmo at your company. Now it is time for a smooth onboarding process.

This guide outlines what decisions to make before your Gizmo migration, the pros and cons of each, and how to prepare your teams for the shift.

Decide whether to migrate phone numbers

Many teams use Gizmo as an opportunity to start fresh with their phone numbers. Numbers that have been used heavily in weaker systems are often flagged as spam by some carriers, so teams may provision brand new numbers.

Other teams port their existing numbers to Gizmo. Either way, Gizmo has full support and our team will assist in this process. Desk-phone setups can also be migrated while still taking advantage of Gizmo features.

Set up your lead routing

Teams can choose our preconfigured cadence or configure their own custom cadence. The preconfigured cadence has been tested across tens of thousands of leads and is a good starting point.

You can then create a custom cadence ladder with your own rules. Changes update in real time, so you can switch between ladders and monitor the results.

For inbound calls, you can build as many call flows as you would like.

Enable your LOS integration

Gizmo reads existing data from your LOS. Enable the integration in settings and enter your credentials. Once that is done, your team benefits immediately.

  • Automated lead export

Gizmo automatically exports leads to your LOS when users pull credit.

  • State licensing synchronization

State licenses are synced from Encompass to Gizmo and vice versa, so lead-routing decisions use your existing license set.

Add your lead providers

As a final step, add your lead providers in settings. Unlike other platforms, there is no field mapping or configuration required. Gizmo uses AI to automatically map fields from any lead provider.

As you add each provider, Gizmo gives you a posting URL that you can forward to your rep at that provider.
